The Visual Basic for Applications course is aimed at users who are competent in Access but who wish to develop databases that take full advantage of the Access programming language. Although an advantage, previous programming experience is not a necessity.

The course begins with a full tour of the VBA programming environment including all the tools that Access provides to aid development. Using a real world application for examples, VBA functionality is used in conjunction with tables, queries (including SQL queries), Forms and Reports to illustrate VBA’s potential. The Module object is also covered in depth as well as VBA’s ability to interact with the other applications and the Windows environment itself. Finally the finished application is fully debugged and error trapped.
